Hope is not all lost for those who made University of Uyo their choice institution and participated in the just concluded 2019/20 JAMB examinations but couldn't score up to 180 points, as the forms for UNIUYO JUPEB/Basic studies Admission is now on sale.
UNIUYO basic studies programme is a one year programme that is in conjunction with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB). The aim of this basic studies is to prepare the students for the examinations that will be conducted by the board of JUPEB.
Those who succeed in this programme shall be given the JUPEB certificate and they will be qualified to gain admission into level 200 degree programme offered by the University of Uyo through JAMB direct entry.
Interestingly, JAMB score is not required as one of the criteria for gaining admission into the UNIUYO Basic studies programme. So the candidates who wrote the just concluded JAMB can equally apply as there will be no supplementary application.
Which programme should I apply for?
The following are programmes offered by the UNIUYO JUPEB which you can apply for:
A. Faculty of agriculture :
G. Faculty of Engineering :
J. Faculty of Pharmacy
K. Faculty of Science :
This must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature in English, Geography, Government and Economics , in maximum of two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO or NABTEB) or GCE.
Candidates who successfully scale through the JUPEB examination shall gain admission into level 200 of the various degree courses in the University of Uyo, provided the admission criteria have been met for the course of choice.
Follow these guidelines to register for your UNIUYO 2019/2020 Basic studies Programme
Qualified candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of #15,000 only through the REMITTA PAYMENT platform.
IMPORTANT :
1) Two recent passport size photographs and on a red background which was used for the online registration. Name and signature of the candidate must be written in the reverse side of the passport, all packaged in a quater-size envelope with the candidate's name on it.
2) One copy of the duly completed UNIUYO 2019/2020 registration form with the passport printed in colour as only the coloured printout will be accepted.
3) Candidates should also come with eraser, pencil and sharpener.
The following items are prohibited and as such you are not expected to come with them:

Requirements For the UNIUYO 2019/2020 JUPEB/Basic studies admission
Candidates interested in seeking admission into the UNIUYO 2019/20 JUPEB /Basic studies programme should ensure that they possess credit passes in minimum of 5 subjects at "0"level.This must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature in English, Geography, Government and Economics , in maximum of two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO or NABTEB) or GCE.

Follow these guidelines to register for your UNIUYO 2019/2020 Basic studies Programme

- Select Admission forms link
- Select e-forms option
- Go to admission type and select Basic Studies option
- Move to the next box and provide your valid phone number
- Provide your email address
- To make payment, click PAY NOW option
- Payment can be made online, or you can generate RRR and move on to the designated bank to make your payment
- Return to the e-portal and click on Register, to complete your registration for the UNIUYO 2019/2020 Basic studies programme.
IMPORTANT :
- Candidates who upload wrong bio-data shall be automatically disqualified
- The same passport photograph used for the online registration shall be used for the screening exercise and for registration after admission has been offered
- Ensure that the data you upload is correct for no complaint about wrong bio-data or blank photograph shall be entertained after submission.
